Steve & Sharon Werner

Elders

Jeremy & Christa Dressler

Elders
Steve and Sharon Werner, from Belleville, Mifflin Co. Pa, have been blessed with three adult daughters and their families. As elders, our desire is to serve Jesus by walking along side His body, encouraging one another through involvement in small groups, house of prayer and freedom ministry, "that Christ may dwell in [our] hearts through faith; and that [we] being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints...to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God." Eph. 3:16-19
Coming soon.

Cori Smith

Worship Pastor
Cori is our Worship Pastor and co-leader of our River House of Prayer.  She lives with her husband, Dan, in McAlisterville.  Their son, Nirloy who is married to Malynda, assists with the Worship Team and Sound.
The main vision for worship at River is to minister to the Lord.  He is our target audience.  Isaiah 6:1-3 has been foundational for us and one of the reasons we are passionate about gathering together in corporate worship.  It says in verses 2-3 “Attending Him were mighty seraphim…They were calling out to EACH OTHER. ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. The whole earth is filled with His glory”.  Cori believes it ministers to the Lord when we worship Him together. We minister to Him, call out to each other when we sing, and are reminded of the truth of who He is and what He’s done which focuses us back on Him.

Rachel Connelly

Children's Pastor
Rachel is our Children's Pastor, overseeing our River Kids classes from age 3-sixth grade. Her passion is to see children in a personal, vibrant, deepening relationship with the Lord Jesus. She grew up in California but has lived for the past five years in Juniata County. Rachel has no biological children but has many spiritual children through her eighteen years of teaching Christian elementary school and serving as a Saturday Bible club teacher. Her hobbies are reading, drinking coffee, walking country roads, and crocheting.

Lois & Mark King

Freedom Ministry Leaders
Mark & Lois King live near Spruce Hill.  They are the parents of two grown children, Kelly & Mack, who are married and have blessed them with six grandchildren.  They are retired but before retirement Mark was a heavy equipment operator for a company in Harrisburg and Lois worked as a medical secretary for a GI doctor in Lewistown.
Mark and Lois love camping, campfires, having friends and family for meals and seeing people set free through the power of the Holy Spirit.
They lead the Rivers of Freedom Ministry here at River Church.  One of their ‘go to’ verses is John 10:10 – “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Lynette Reinford

Care Pastor
Lynette is Care Pastor and part of the Care Team here at River Church.  We provide support for the church leaders and provide for those with needs in our River Church Family. Her heart is to care and support others - as it says in Matthew 25:34-40 'when you did it to one of the least of these...you were doing it to me.'
Originally from Eastern PA - Lynette came to Juniata County in the Spring of 1989. She now is a single mom (as a widow) of 4 adult children, along with 3 of their spouses and 4 grands - Lynette is blessed with a wonderful family. Along with her Care Pastor role, her other hats are: director of a local non-profit ministry and run a direct sales business. She understand what it means to deal with heartbreak and struggles - and also to see God supply all our needs. That's her passion for this work.
